CDPR’s Cyberpunk 2077 was already a very impressive looking game when it released. With Phantom Liberty and the 2.0 Update it finally achieved its full potential in terms of graphical fidelity.

One technology that has advanced visual quality to the next level is Path Tracing. In simple terms, it enables the game engine to render light, reflections, and shadows in a much more realistic manner. However, it also imposes a significant load on your graphics card, to the extent that the game is only playable in this quality with an Nvidia RTX 4080 or higher and DLSS enabled.

Here are my PC specifications as of 2023:

  • AMD Ryzen 9 7950x3D @ 5ghz all cores
  • G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB 64 gb DDR5 RAM @ 6000mhz
  • Asus TUF GAMING OC GeForce RTX 4090
  • 1x 2tb Samsung 980 Pro nvme m.2 SSD for OS and Programs
  • 1x 2tb Western Digital nvme m.2 SSD for Data/Assets and Games
  • Windows 11 Pro

All screenshots were taken by me with additional mods enabled and maximum graphic settings. Afterwards edited in Photoshop and/or Lightroom.

All unmodded content inside Cyberpunk 2077 belongs to CD PROJEKT S.A.
